The Miami Boat Show 2022, the largest boat and yacht show in the world and the major marine event in Greater Miami and Miami Beach since 1969, is just about to kick off. This year the event will be even more special: it has partnered with SuperYacht Miami and the Miami Boat Show to create the biggest boat exposition in the entire world. It is expected to have an economic impact of more than $1.5 billion and bring over 1,000 exhibitors and thousands of boats (including US debuts) from February 16-20.
At this year’s edition of the event, some of the most renowned manufacturers in the boating industry will delight visitors by presenting brand-new models on US soil. Besides, attendees will be able to attend live music performances and participate in many interactive boating experiences, as well as on-land and on-water venues. Let's find out more about the 5 most-awaited boat model US debuts.
Shortlisted in the Sportboat category for the 2021 Motor Boat Awards and characterized by its distinctly vertical stem, the Cranchi Yachts E26 Classic is a classic 25 ft (8 m) day cruiser with a sporty style and elegant furniture. Recalling the classic heritage of wooden boats, this boat can be both the perfect day cruiser and luxury tender with an innovative and functional design to ensure maximum comfort. For example, its large sun deck covers the engine area and stores a retractable awning to be used for shade in the cockpit when needed.
The L-shaped sofa and two swivel chairs for pilot and co-pilot located in the center of the vessel are nothing but an extension to the stern sun deck and are bidirectional, that is, bow-facing when sailing and stern-facing when socializing.
In terms of safety, the wraparound full-beam windscreen acts as protection to the pilot and co-pilot, enhancing the sportiness of this model. And at the center of the windscreen one can find an opening to access the bow deck. Under this area, there’s a small cabin as well as a restroom for extra comfort.
Despite being traditional, the E26 Classic is a high-performance boat with innovative technological solutions and materials perfect for off-shore sailing or navigation at sea, requiring minimum maintenance even after a cruising season.
The Pardo Endurance 60 (Pardo Yachts) redesigns the concept of long-distance navigation with its calibrated speed, low fuel consumption, and safe and silent speed for maximum comfort. It is a 60 ft (18 m) yacht especially built for the owner’s needs on long cruising trips.
Its exterior design with large opening windows and two collapsible side terraces enhances open-air life on board, while its fresh and stylish bright interiors in white lacquers and blond teak help create a cozy atmosphere of total privacy.
Last but not least, it offers a wide range of customizing options to make the cruising experience even more personalized: multiple materials, fabrics, and colors. All furniture is in-house made by the brand’s carpentry department Cantiere del Pardo, while each element of the vessel is carefully crafted by expert craftsmen, without compromising its onboard safety, or navigation functionality.
Sunseeker 88 Yacht
Built in Poole (Dorset, UK) and powered by twin MTU 10V 2000s, the Sunseeker 88 is an impressive compact yacht with a superyacht feel, beautiful exterior lines, and a sleek hardtop roof with an optional opening canopy. This 87 ft (26.38 m) meter-long motor yacht introduces a new look both in exterior and interior design, as well as a different layout on deck than the Sunseeker 86. Besides, it can easily accommodate up to eight guests and four crew members and reach speeds of 28 knots.
Its wide flybridge has an incredible design with beautiful furniture on a spacious aft deck, being the perfect place for entertaining and relaxing on its comfortable companion seats adjacent to the helm and U-shaped seating opposite a bar, grill, two fridges, and an optional refrigerated drawer. It can also come equipped with fixed stools to create a social bar area.
It features Sunseeker’s industry-leading ‘Beach Club’ concept which is accessed by dual teak staircases featuring recessed LED lighting, making it the perfect yacht for relaxing, socializing, and having fun while carrying everything necessary onboard.
Combining premium Dutch artisanship with a superb exterior design by Guido de Groot, the VQ52 (Vanquish Yachts) is an incredible 53.3 ft (16.25 m) weekend boat available either in open or T-Top version and also in several one-off Hard Top versions (only on custom orders). Besides, if you decide to install an impressive master-suite in the foredeck and add a fully-equipped bathroom, the comfort of this watercraft will exceed your expectations.
Furthermore, this vessel is extremely versatile: it is the perfect day cruiser with plenty of areas for up to 18 people, storage for watersports gear, getting out of water platforms, grill, sink, and even wine cooler for memorable onboard parties and fun.
On its T-Top launch model version, a longer bowsprit and a large U-shaped sofa on the foredeck confer a sporty-elegant look to the vessel mainly through the use of aluminum to satisfy even the more creative boat lovers.
The Vanquish design team offers you plenty of possibilities in terms of interior design, style, and decor. Performance-wise, the VQ52 T-Top comes equipped with two 600 hp Cummins engines with Pod drives and joystick controls with the skyhook. Optionally, you can choose twin Volvo IPS950s to enhance performance.
After its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, the 48 wallytender (Wally Yachts) is ready to take over the Miami Boat Show 2022.
Designed by Luca Bassani, the new version of the 48 wallytender is an awesome day-cruiser, combining the functionality and style of the top seller wallytender with brand new features that enhance comfort, elegance, functionality, and technology in yacht design.
The 47.5 ft (14.5 m) day boat and its 960 horsepower twin Volvo IPS 650 engines that allow it to reach the top speed of 38 knots have an unparalleled design that combines classic elegance with the lightness of incredibly durable materials.
It has two spacious living areas, one located in the stern and another one in the bow, as well as a wide open-air dining area with a capacity for 8 people. Its freeboard is now placed higher, compared to previous releases, so that guests and owners have more space in the cabin below deck. Plus, this cabin has an ensuite bathroom and separate shower, offering guests incredible comfort such as taking a relaxing shower after a cruising day.
