From the 7th to the 12th of September 2021, the Yachting Festival made the Bay of Cannes shine with almost 600 exceptional boats and yachts in the harbor. Presenting a large range of boats going from 5-Meter RIBs to 50-Meter superyachts, the biggest international shipyards didn't miss this outstanding gathering on the French Riviera.
Between the Vieux-Port (Old Port) and Port Canto, our team had the chance to discover in exclusivity the newest boats, yachts, technologies, and accessories from the most innovative and successful exhibitors. In total, 140 world premieres were displayed at the festival, representing nearly 25% of the boats exhibited.
An amazing location—from one end of the Croisette to the other
The Vieux-Port is one of the oldest harbors on the French Riviera, enjoying an outstanding location in Cannes's most active and alive district. During the festival, the Port holds the traditional motorized multi-hull area as well as the outboard and inboard engine area. But this year, two new concepts are presented in the Old Port: an electric boat area, and a sea trial area.
From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the bay and the Lérins Islands. Just a couple of minutes away, on Le Suquet hill, you will be able to enjoy an exceptional view of the city and the bay. Definitely a must-see!

Walking on along the Croisette towards Port Canto, we found ourselves in the sailing area. But truly, walking is not the best solution to get to Port Canto—taking the boat shuttle is! 10-Minute navigation to go from one port to the other is almost too short, as we'd have enjoyed a bit more time enjoying the view from the water. It seemed like different companies were organizing the shuttles, but we have to admit that we had an amazing ride on the Wajer 38S.

Let's end this Cannes Yachting Festival tour with the Port Canto. Although much smaller than the Vieux-Port, it has a lot to offer to all sailing enthusiasts. It gathers the sailing and toys areas, as well as the yacht brokerage and charter area. And for the first time this year, Port Canto hosted a dedicated sector to innovations.

SAY Carbon Yacht 42: Our Cannes Festival's crush
Heading back to the Vieux-Port, we had the chance to visit the new SAY 42, from SAY Carbon Yacht Shipyard. As the name suggests, all of their boats are built out of carbon, which minimizes impressively the weight of the vessel. As SAY's team agreed to say: "every boat is a piece of art, tailored to make you experience an amazing navigation on the water".
